Senior Console Programmer |
We are currently looking for an experienced console programmer to join the Instinct core programming team to develop a comprehensive next generation middleware product on multiple games consoles.
Location
Donegal, Ireland – although remote working is a possibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise cutting edge middleware on next-generation consoles
- Design and implement efficient and maintainable code (primarily in C++ although C or assembly language may be required occasionally)
- Realistically plan your schedule using an iterative Agile software development process
- Communicate closely with the team and clients to ensure requirements are understood and delivered
- Maintain useful programming documentation
Requirements - At least 4 years games coding experience with C++, preferably working on shipped games titles
- Strong understanding of console programming and optimisation techniques
- Experience of low level console development on XBox360, PS3, Gamecube or Wii
- Proven ability to work productively with minimal supervision as part of a dedicated team
- Experience of multi-platform C++ development is advantageous
- Mature professional attitude and work ethic
